GACHOT MONOT

With a rather remote address at Corgoloin, Domaine Gachot Monot might be easy to overlook and the wines in that region are usually quite subpar in terms of standard, but in this particular case nothing could be further from the truth. With an impressive 18 hectares of vineyards, the estate's holdings are mostly planted in Pinot Noir, with over 50% devoted to the regional appellations of Bourgogne and Côtes de Nuits Villages. Additional parcels can also be found throughout Cote de Nuits, including several prized 1er Crus and Village Lieux Dits.

Founded during the 1890s, Domaine Gachot Monot is now run by the 5th generation and has been expertly managed by Damien Gachot and his wife Liselotte. The couple is dedicated to producing elegant and clean wines and as a result they deliver exceptional price-to-quality ratio especially for their entry level wines. With their inimitable style and fine-tuned approach, they have crafted wines that truly punch above their weight class. Indeed, even their regional and Cote de Nuits wines offer village or even premier cru-level quality.
