GUY CHARLEMAGNE.png

Guy Charlemagne is a renowned family-owned Champagne house, boasting a rich heritage since its establishment in 1892. As staunch advocates of the Récoltant-Manipulant status, they exclusively produce wines sourced from their 15-hectare vineyard, primarily located in the esteemed Cote de Blancs Region. Their vineyard composition comprises 87% Chardonnay and 13% Pinot Noir, yielding an annual production of 130,000 bottles.

Nestled within the Champagne region's most prestigious Grand Crus, including Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger, Guy Charlemagne's vineyards flourish. Planted on limestone soil and blessed with an East/South-East exposure, these 100% Grand Crus ensure a consistent water supply to the Chardonnay grapes. The Grand Cru cuvées are meticulously crafted, selecting the finest single vineyards from the terroir, with an average vine age of approximately 42 years.

The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested, gently pressed in traditional presses, and undergo a slow fermentation process in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Each blend is a unique pursuit of harmonious flavors, aimed at creating exceptional cuvées. Following bottling, the bottles mature in tranquil chalk cellars until they are ready for riddling and disgorging. Finally, the bottles are meticulously prepared and adorned with the distinguished Charlemagne "Eagle" emblem.
